The Scottish 5-19 Film Education Programme aims to develop the ambition, engagement and participant of young people and education partners in film and the moving image in Scotland.
Working alongside Into Film, the body taking forward the BFI 5-19 strategy across the UK, Scottish Film Education will deliver a range of projects with cinemas, schools, youth organisations and other partners across Scotland.
Scottish Film Education is supported by Creative Scotland and focuses on work directly supporting and developing the existing infrastructure in Scotland, including the development of an extensive programme of skills development amongst freelancers, school staff and others, the development of Scotland-specific film education resources and other projects.
About Scottish Film Ltd
Scottish Film is a consortium consisting of Scotland’s leading cultural cinemas and film festivals, and its cinema development agency - the Centre for Moving Image (which incorporates Filmhouse Edinburgh, Belmont Aberdeen and the Edinburgh International Film Festival), Glasgow Film, Dundee Contemporary Arts, Eden Court Theatre & Cinema Inverness and Regional Screen Scotland.
Collectively these organisations are the principal providers of specialist and independent cinema exhibition and programming in Scotland. Scottish Film Ltd. is the management body for the Scottish Film Education Programme and BFI Film Audience Network in Scotland which operates as Film Hub Scotland.
